    Deborah Astor, Executive Director

    Debbie Astor has devoted her adult life to Jewish communal service. Prior to coming to Temple Israel in 1990, Debbie Served as President of Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Boston, President of Temple Israel of Natick, Chair of the Boston Jewish Arts Coalition (American Jewish Congress), Trustee of Hebrew College and board member of the Center for Jewish Film. Debbie was President of the Solomon Schechter Day School Association of North America from 1998-2002, and President of the Massachusetts Association of Temple and Synagogue Administrators, 2000-2002. Debbie is the founder and moderator of TheBrave, a listserv for families of active duty/activated Jewish military. The listserv has been hosted by USCJ since it went live in January, 2003.

     

    Debbie has a daughter, son-in-law, and grandson living in Dedham, and a son serving with the Marine Corps Inspector General's office at the Pentagon Annex. Debbie lives in South Natick.
