    Larry Jaye, Ritual Director

    Larry Jaye has been interested in religion and philosophy for most of his life, but the practical side of his personality led him to become a mechanical engineer. He spent almost 30 years working in all phases of manufacturing and manufacturing management.

    About 17 years ago, Larry found his spiritual life lacking and returned to Judaism. Larry was an active participant in Temple Israel's morning minyan for several years and studied with Hillel Langermann both before and after joining the staff of the Temple as Ritual Director. He is honored by the faith our congregation has placed in him by giving him the opportunity to be the Shamash. In addition, Larry works with Rabbi Starr and other area rabbis to provide hashgacha at several local establishments.

    Larry grew up in Mattapan. He and his wife Marilyn now live in Easton. Marilyn sings with th Zamir Chorale of Boston and is the Registrar at Hebrew College.
