Giving to Temple Israel

Temple Israel values your contribution to any of its funds, and it's never been easier to make a contribution.
Suggested minimum donations are $10. Whether donations are made online or through the office, a notification card will be sent to the indicated recipient. You can also use the PDF donation form to contribute to any of these worthwhile projects. Please return the form to the Temple Israel office along with your check.

The following is an overview of our funds:

  • Bimah Flower Fund provides flowers for bimah flowers, especially on holidays

  • Building For Our Future Fund: supports the Renovation and Expansion Campaign mortgage

  • Community Garden Fund: supports our community garden and outdoor prayer space

  • Gamm-Varty Community Fund: supports special activities and purchases for the benefit of the congregation

  • General Fund: Supports the synagogue's operating expenses

  • General Scholarship Fund: Supports Provides tuition support for students to attend Jewish day schools and camps, trips to Israel, and other learning opportunities

  • Herb & Eileen Brown Youth Fund: augments the youth programming budget

  • Lamb and Ellowitz Families Scholar in Residence Endowment Fund: funds guest lecturers

  • Mahzor Lev Shalem: dedicate a new mahzor for the High Holy Day services, inscribing a bookplate in honor or memory of a loved one ($36)

  • Marion Mayer Katz Holocaust Fund: supports Holocaust education and programming at Temple Israel

  • Mishpacha Minyan Fund: offsets the cost of these Friday night dinners, making them more accessible to the temple community

  • Prayer Book Fund: supports the repair and replacement of prayer books as needed

  • Joe Rothenstein Scholarship Fund: in memory of Joe Rothenstein, providing support for students to attend Temple Israel education programs, Jewish day schools and camps, trips to Israel, and other learning opportunities

  • Sandra Gamm Memorial Fund: supports annual programs in music and cultural arts for the benefit of the Temple Israel community

  • Simcha Garden: honor your family's simcha by helping to underwrite the synagogue's special landscaping projects ($118+)

  • Tiferet Center Fund: supports the Center's programs and services for temple members and the greater Sharon community

  • Tree of Life: inscribe a life for any of life's celebrations ($360/leaf)

  • Plus other Funds and Scholarship Funds that you can designate using our online system.
