The Tiferet Center presents:

A 6-week course with Janette Hillis-Jaffe

February-March, 2017

Sponsored by Hebrew College & the Tiferet Center of Temple Israel

 Limited to 12 participants.

For more information or registration, email Janette@JanetteHJ.com

As the days get shorter and colder, let's use Torah wisdom to deepen connections in our community and improve our own health.

In these six, weekly 90-minute sessions, participants will:

  • Create personal, concrete, long and short-term goals for your health.
  • Study a new Mussar trait each week and apply it to your own wellness work.
  • Choose personal action steps each week to improve your health.
  • Have weekly check-ins with a health chevruta to stay accountable.

TIMES: Wednesdays 7:30-9pm:  February 1, 8, 15 & March 1, 8, 15.

What participants in past courses have said:
"The module on building partnerships completely changed my life. I went from feeling completely isolated to being able to identify two or three people who I could ask for support. Now I actually feel like I formed a corporation. I have five or six people who can support me. Everything seems much more possible.”

"I have Type II Diabetes, and since this group, I’ve lowered my blood sugar from 8.9 to 7.4, which I haven’t been able to do before. Overall, I feel so much more optimistic and motivated."

"I loved that it didn't prescribe a specific healing format, but gave us real tools to find exactly what works for us. I got back to doing what I need to keep me emotionally and physically healthy and lost 5 lbs."

Cost: $20 per weekly class -- Total of $120
A six-week online course with Janette is usually $297. Hebrew College and Janette both subsidize this course to make it more affordable. Hebrew College also offers scholarships if the cost is a barrier to participation. Please contact Betsy Moore at emore@hebrewcollege.edu for more information on scholarships.
