Presented by Janet Krasner Aronson, Ph.D., lead author of the study and associate director at the Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies and Steinhardt Social Research Institute at Brandeis University, this talk will provide a look at the findings of the recent study of the Boston Jewish Community with a special presentation of new information about the Sharon Jewish community.

We will discuss:

  • Is the Jewish community growing, shrinking, or stable?
  • In what ways has Jewish life changed in the past decades?
  • How can this information be used to activate, energize, and engage Jews in Jewish life in Sharon and beyond?

About the speaker:
Dr. Janet Krasner Aronson is an Associate Director at the Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies and Steinhardt Social Research Institute at Brandeis University. She earned her PhD in social policy at the Heller School at Brandeis University. At CMJS, she works on studies of synagogues and currently manages several Jewish community studies projects. She is the lead author of the 2015 Greater Boston Jewish Community Study. Janet has resided in Sharon, MA for over 25 years and is a member of the Temple Israel Board of Trustees.
