Temple Israel Book Swap: April 3 - 19 in Founders Hall
Leave a book, take a book!
Do you have books you no longer want but that someone else may appreciate? Are you looking for some new reading material?
Come to the TI Book Swap in Founders Hall and help your gently-used Jewish books find new homes!
The following categories of books will be accepted:
- Children’s books (including board books)
- Adult fiction and biography
- Jewish philosophy and history (including Israel and Holocaust)
- Holidays and life-cycle
- English-language Torah/Bible commentaries, midrash, etc.
Note: We cannot accept any “sacred texts” with Hebrew: No prayerbooks (siddurim, machzorim, or benchers), chumashim, or Bibles. Also, no encyclopedias, magazines, or textbooks. Books should be in good condition and likely to be of interest to contemporary readers (i.e., not ancient books from your parents’ Hebrew School days!).
Tables in Founders Hall will be available for drop-off and browsing at any time that the building is open between April 3 – 19. Stop by before or after school drop-off, after services, or any time you are in the building!
Donation Limit: one box per family. When you drop off your books, you are asked to spend a few minutes sorting them onto the appropriate tables, which will be labeled by category/genre. Please do not leave boxes/bags of books outside the door or in the lobby; all donations must be brought into Founders Hall and placed on the appropriate tables starting April 3. (Sorry, we cannot accept book donations early due to our busy April 1-2 weekend.)
