Passover, Shavuot, and Sukkot are the Big Three Pilgrimage festivals. Join the Chevra (our 20s and 30s group at Temple Israel) to celebrate them all, beginning with Passover.
On Passover we learn, "You know the heart of a stranger, because you were strangers in Egypt”.Join us for an evening of learning about what it means to take care of the strangers today. We are generations removed from the enslavement in Egypt, yet we are commanded to remember as if we were there and to care for others accordingly. From Syrian refugees to Fair Trade Chocolate, we’ll explore our power, impact, and responsibility. We hope you will join us to discuss which current issues are close to your heart, and how we as a group can get involved. We also know you will leave with questions and resources to bring to their own family’s seder.
Come learn with us on Saturday March 24th at 7:30 at Rabbi Silverman's home. Write to Allison firstname.lastname@example.org to RSVP and with any questions.
