    Aging is a Family Affair
    Sunday, April 11, 2010, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 pm

If you are caring for someone older, or looking ahead to your own senior years, plan on attending Temple Israel’s two-part program, “Our Parents, Ourselves.”

Navigating the Maze of Options will provide adult children and their families essential information about aging in place, housing, home care, elder law, long term care insurance and financial planning. The range of living and care options will be presented, from the popular “aging in place” to assisted living and continuing care retirement communities. Learn from an elder care attorney and long term care insurance professional what common mistakes can be avoided by planning ahead.

Aging is a Family Affair will explore the emotional challenges of elder care, recognizing when it’s no longer possible to live alone, initiating the conversation about care options, and understanding what it’s like to have one’s independence challenged.

This program will be held at Temple Israel and is free and open to the public.

To RSVP, e-mail Andrea at Lave2000@gmail.com.
