    Shabbat Chauffeurs

    This new program is designed to help congregants who would like transportation to services. To volunteer as a Shabbat Chauffeur or to sign up for a ride to services, contact Elliot Feldman. Initiated by the Caring Community of Temple Israel.

    Boker Tov Shabbat

    May 3, 9:30 - 10:30am

    A new program for newborns to 5 year olds. Celebrate Boker Tov Shabbat with the Torah, hear some “Torah Talk” and sing. All takes place in the Hertz Nursery School. Everyone is welcome!!

    TI Reads: Coming Together, Coming Apart: A Memoir of Heartbreak and Promise in Israel by Daniel Gordis

    Thursday, May 15, 7:30pm

    This book is the memoirs of Daniel Gordis, who left Los Angeles to make aliyah in Israel with his wife and children. With sympathy and hope he explores the Israeli- Palestinian conflict and his personal journey.

    Discussion facilitated by Margie Maidman. Books are for sale at the TI office. For more information, contact Sue Novick or Jessica Horowitz.

    Hazak: Jewish Hollywood with Daniel Kimmel

    Thursday, May 15, 7:00pm

    Daniel Kimmel is a Boston-area film reviewer, a correspondent for Variety, the Jewish Advocate’s “movie maven,” and a past president of the Boston Society of Film Critics. Dessert will follow the program.
