May 2016 Greetings to the Religious School Community

A Message from Alisa Levine

Dear Parents of incoming Temple Israel Religious School students,

I hope that your children have experienced much joy in Jewish learning this year; it has been my sheer delight watching them grow. While I will not be here to greet students this Fall, with the arrival of Spring the time is upon us all to start thinking ahead towards the next Religious School year. Within this email you will find all of the information needed to re-enroll your child(ren) in Temple Israel Religious School (TiRS)’s 2016-2017 (5777) academic year. I am confident that our Religious School program will remain healthy and strong under Rabbi Silverman’s leadership. Together we hope to ease the transition for all as we enter the 2016-2017 (5777) academic year. Below is a special note from Rabbi Silverman:

A Message from Rabbi Rachel Silverman

Dear TIRS parents,

I’m looking forward to meeting you when I arrive in Sharon in a few months. It has already been a pleasure working with Rabbi Fish, Benjamin Maron, lay leaders and, of course, Alisa to manage this transition. I feel blessed and grateful to have the chance to lead the Temple Israel education program beginning this summer. As we discussed when I came to visit at the end of March, we will begin the school year on a very similar schedule to this past year. I anticipate the opportunity to experiment with Shabbat programming over the course of the year, soliciting your feedback and participation throughout the process.
