Shabbat Neshama -
Shabbat for the Soul

There is nothing more urgently needed in our world than Shabbat.

We are surrounded by the rush of emptiness and the din of constant isolation. The gift of Shabbat is the blessing of real connection, a true engagement with community. Shabbat calls us to be in the presence of one another.

Shabbat Neshama is our experiment in Shabbat prayer. It is an intentional program designed to heighten the meaning of our service, to deepen the spiritual recharging of our souls.  In order to achieve this we will daven in a different space, in a slightly modified format, and we will strive to focus on what is most important.

The goal of the experiment is to learn what works and to incorporate those lessons into our regular Shabbat service. We will celebrate these Shabbat Neshama services on May 25th, July 27th, and August 31st in Berger Hall, with a special start time of 9:30 AM).
Plan to sing and join in worship. And bring your Soul to Shabbat!
