Youth and Family Services
Our popular Tot Shabbat is back on a weekly basis! Join us every Shabbat morning at 11:15 for a joyous, song-filled Shabbat morning experience. Tots should bring an adult, their Shabbat enthusiasm, and are also welcome to bring a (kosher, nut-free) snack. Tot Shabbat meets in classroom 2.
Geared for students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade (with an adult), Mini-Minyan is an experiential Shabbat morning prayer experience. We’ll sing, we’ll dance, we’ll act, and we’ll pray. Mini-Minyan is meant to supplement what students are learning in the religious school. Participants are always encouraged to fully participate, join in the leading of the service, and bring their full selves to the morning. Mini-Minyan meets weekly in classroom 2, beginning at 10am and ending in the sanctuary at 11:45 for Adon Olam (and lollipops!).
A more advanced, age-appropriate Shabbat morning service, aimed at students in Grades 3-6, Jr. Congregation combines a thoughtful prayer experience with discussion, games, stories, songs, and movement. Students are invited to bring an adult with them (but it is not required) and are encouraged to participate in leading the service with the leaders. Jr. Congregation is designed to help students become comfortable leading services in the sanctuary, as they become Jewish adults. Jr. Congregation meets weekly in the library, beginning at 10am and ending in the sanctuary 11:45 for Adon Olam (and lollipops!).
Every month, join other families with younger children for Tot Shabbat, a short service that focuses on song and story, especially geared to toddlers and young children.
