NEWS AND EVENTS FOR 2021-2022

Join Rabbi Silverman as the Brotherhood presents the Jewish Routes Breakfast Series: "Family Dynamics in the Genesis"

We often turn to the Torah as a roadmap for how we're supposed to live our lives. That may work for the commandments, but the models of family are far from ideal. We'll dive deeply into some of the most compelling stories of the Book of Genesis, looking at them from both traditional and modern lenses.

Hearing Men's Voices (HMV)- 2021-22

Our award-winning lay-led program continues.

This year's topic: "Transitions..."

The past year has been significant in many respects, and we're now transitioning out of that into … what? The world and its routines have changed. We now have an opportunity to examine our lives and decide how to move forward.

  • November 16, 2021
    Topic: Re-examining what matters
As things start up again, do you want things to be the same? Are you making changes in your life based on priorities that have shifted?
  • December 16, 2021
Topic: Changes in how we work
Workplaces are opening, but how we work may change considerably. Has your job changed in the past year? How have these changes impacted you both positively and negatively?
  • January 25, 2022
    Topic: Who are you now?
Often a person's identity or self worth feels tied to their profession. It's the first answer to "tell me about yourself." Are there other ways to look at things, and other ways to identify?
  • February 15, 2022
    Topic: Friends and family
Have your friendships or family relationships changed? How are you dealing with these changes?
  • March 24, 2022
    Topic: Regular lifecycle events
Life has its normal moments of transition (births, deaths, and graduations, etc.), which continue regardless of what happens in the world. How have these moments been changed and how are you coping with these changes?
  • April 12, 2022
    Topic: Injecting Positivity
As we deal with stressful times, it can be easy to focus on the bad. How do we move forward and grow from our experiences?

Come to Hearing Men's Voices. Bring your stories and your perspectives on these moments of transition.

Hearing Men's Voices provides a safe, supportive environment in which men can delve into areas of mutual interest and concern.
