Facility closures and social isolation resulted in the loss of deep connection. The decreased physical activity and increased screen time heightened stress and the potential for mental health challenges. Some children and teens were pushed to a state of crisis. This session explores the fear circuitry of the brain and effective interventions that transform adversity to strength. Shabbat Shalom and Happy Sukkot Holiday, Dr. Levy

I had a great High Holidays with all of you and it was amazing seeing how many of your kids were participating in our program. One thing struck me during my 5th-12th services. I noticed that not all our 5th-7th graders in religious school know all the prayers we did on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. I am pointing this out because it really highlights the importance of our weekly Jr. Congregation that teaches and continues to reinforce the prayers on a weekly basis. I hope to see more of our students challenge themself and come to Jr. Congregation if they can.
